Privacy policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

Leiha Martin Art (“we”, “us”, “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. It is written in plain English and is intended to be GDPR-conscious. If you have any questions, please contact us via the email used to place your order.

1. Who we are

Leiha Martin Art is a sole-trader fine-art studio based in the United Kingdom, producing bespoke hand-drawn animal portraits and limited fine-art prints.

2. What we collect

  • Contact details — your name, email, phone (optional) and delivery address.
  • Order details — selected size, framing, delivery, notes you provide about your animal, and the reference photograph(s) you upload.
  • Payment data — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. We do store the Stripe checkout session reference so we can confirm your payment.
  • Technical data — limited server logs for security, anti-abuse and basic performance monitoring.

3. How we use it

  • To fulfil your commission or print order.
  • To contact you about your order (progress updates, queries, dispatch).
  • To comply with our legal obligations (e.g. record-keeping).
  • To improve the website (aggregated, non-identifying analytics where used).

We will never sell your data, and we will not contact you for marketing without your explicit consent.

4. How long we keep it

We retain your order data and reference photographs for as long as is necessary to deliver your portrait and meet legal/tax record-keeping requirements (typically up to 7 years for financial records). Reference photographs can be deleted on request once your order has been completed.

5. Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to deliver your order — specifically Stripe (payments) and the postal carrier you choose (delivery). We do not share your data with marketers, data brokers, or any third party for advertising.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies/local storage needed to keep you logged in (admin only) and to remember a session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children

The website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted.

10. Contact

Privacy questions and data requests can be sent to the studio at the email address used in our order correspondence.
